Spiced Pink Margarita
Is there anyone out there who doesn’t love a spiced marg? Doubt it. But let’s raise the stakes. What’s better than a spicy marg? Double the spicy marg. Enter, the Finger Lime x Jalapeño—tequila-filled glass just the righ amount of sting. Even the salt rim shows up swinging. No afterthoughts here. It slaps.
Ingredients:
30 ml lime juice
45 ml tequila
30 ml pink grapefruit juice
A dash of hot sauce (we used Finger Lime)
15 ml Cointreau
Garnish of choice (we used freeze-dried blood orange)
Agave
Salt Rim:
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp fine salt
1 tsp fine raw sugar
1 tsp freeze-dried blood orange powder
Method:
- Blend the salt rim ingredients in a spice grinder until evenly mixed. Spread on a plate.
- Paint a strip of agave around the rim of a glass and dip it into the salt mixture.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, pink grapefruit juice, lime juice, Cointreau, and hot sauce. Fill with ice until three-quarters full.
- Shake well until chilled, then strain into the prepared glass.
- Garnish with a slice of your chosen garnish.
