A Little Gold, a Lot of Gratitude

Well, this was a lovely surprise.
Our Blood Lime Scorpion just took home Gold at the Melbourne Royal Awards — and honestly, we’re still a little gobsmacked.
We didn’t start this brand chasing medals. We started it because we were obsessed with flavour — with finding that perfect balance of heat, fruit, and curiosity that makes you want to drizzle just a little more (and then regret it a tiny bit later).
So to have the judges say things like:
“Someone has a sense of humour with the product description! The use of blood orange is fantastic. Whilst this is a hot sauce it is stunning. Every ingredient is identifiable yet it all comes together... deceptively aromatic, cleverly balanced — if you want a hot sauce, this is the one.”
— that just about made our year.
We’re proudly small-batch. Still hand-making every bottle by hand. Still standing over the stove tweaking, tasting, and questioning our life choices when the chillies kick back.
But moments like this remind us why we do it.
Now, every single sauce in our range wears an award — which feels wild to say out loud.
Creating a sauce for everyone was never the goal. But crafting something that ends up in as many hands (and fridges) as possible — and loved enough to be bought again — that’s the real win.
Here’s to flavour that travels, to small teams with big heat, and to the beautiful chaos of a dream that keeps getting hotter.
