Hope 2010 will be even better than 2009 for all of you, and as my only resolution, I’ll try to update this blog more often in the coming year; let’s hope I can stick to it

I decided to finally update the Wordpress blog software on my website, mostly because the new version offers some new features. However, the export of the old posts didn’t work as expected; instead of just exporting my post and your comments, it also exported all spam comments, resulting in a file of 44 MB I cannot upload to the new wordpress . I’m currently trying to find a solution, so hope you stay tuned. Also I found a different theme, which I’m not completely satisfied with, but that should do for now. Expect an update about my Scotland travels soon too!

Pfew…has been quite some time with updates here…and if there were any they weren’t that frequently…thing’s have been very busy as of late and that’s why I haven’t felt like updating that regularly. Now, having taken a little holiday it’s time for some updates and some new posts. So stay tuned!

Today, I finally deleted the old blog at the wordpress site, because I was not longer maintaining it, and bye now, all of you should have figured out that I moved it to this beautiful new site. I’m still in progress of migrating the images from the old site, but I hope to have this finished by the end of the weekend. Meanwhile, my holidays already seem so long ago, because immediately after coming back to OUNL a couple of deadlines appeared. Some developments seem very interesting, like for example writing a book chapter (due next week) and also we are requested to participate in a new project dealing with mobile learning…Exciting, but also seem a lot of work is coming my way, we’ll see

Hi everyone, just back from my Holidays in Italy (a post about it will follow soon) so there you have your explanation for the recent lack of updates to this blog. I’m also still twiddling a bit with wordpress and still have to move some of the stuff from the old blog to the new one. For example, wordpress has this irritating thing that it does not save you blogroll when you export your blog which means that I have to manually add all the links to your sites again… don’t despair though I will add them again soon

And yes, finally my own little webspace for this blog. Tally persuaded me to buy a new domain with associated webspace and today I bought it and immediately migrated this blog, from now on all my posts will be made to this site. So, updated your bookmarks and rss readers. As for the domain name, it’s derived from an old 70s show called Mind your language which I’m currently hooked on.

Also, Hendrik brought in the perfect pirate beer today, would you need some alcoholic help in getting rid of your pirate-blocking inhibitions; Störtebeker, Schwarzbier “Das Bier der Gerechten” Yaarrrrr!

Hi everyone, shortly wanted to inform you that I added a small page giving a little bit of biographical information about me. You can access it on top of this page, by *big surprise* clicking the “About Me” tab. I really managed to write quite a bit, but because I find writing about myself a bit awkward, I also would like to use this opportunity to ask you to write some short comment about me at this page as well. This would give people a more subjective idea of what you think about me, and would be a lot more interesting than that standard biographical yak yak I wrote.
